Another range extender or wireless router?

from previously asked questions i know with a wireless router can push about 100 feet and when i add a linksys range extender i can get about another 50 to 100 feet ,,but i need to cover about 480 feet.. am i able to add anothe extender at the end of that range of lets say 250 feet to get another 100 feet or do i can i add another router and then another extender to that to cover the 480 ft ..if i add another router am i able to transter data on two different router to get to the data from one line to the next
