Yes the pill is still working. No you can't get pregnant. Yes the bleeding will stop eventually. What you need to do is give yourself a week of break from the pill so you can shed your lining. If you do that every 3 or 4 months, then you won't have surprise breakthrough bleeding. It means your lining has gotten too thick to be supported for your hormones you are on.
