How do i get cable in my bedroom without running wires though walls?

Right now I have Shaw tv in the living room. I really want i tv in my room but it is to my understanding that i need a cable jack in my room, which i do not have. I was hoping that there is a way to do this wirelessly. I was looking at "wireless cable tv extenders" online. I don't really understand how they work. But essentially I am looking to get a tv cable box in my room without running wires from the living room. Hope you can help!
