What can cause light pink vaginal bleeding during intercourse?

I have been on birth control for about 4 years now and for the last 6 months I have taken them non stop by skiping the placebo pill and going straight for a new pack so that period does not come. Could this be the cause of the light pink bleeding during intercourse?? I was light not heavy at all and it only happened that one time
