Loner stuck in a vicious cycle?

im a loner and would love to have more friends but i think im coming across as desperate coz im lonely, and of course thats gonna put people off. how do i get out of that? people find me annoying, you know those people that aggrivate you but your not entirely sure why? i think im one of them :/
