Is it possible to skip a period whie on the pill and not be pregnant?

i was on depo for like 6 months so i had no period and then i stopped taking anything for about a month and then started taking the pill. im like 4 days into the placebo pills of my first pack and don't even have any cramps yet. but is it possible that because of the depo i'm still not having a period?
