Bathroom Reno = leaky toilet?

Laid tile over existing tile. Flange is now even with new floor tile. I used a wax ring with 40% more wax and set the toilet. Toilet rode the wax ring fine and seemed to have a good seal. Installation complete... While using the toilet i noticed a puddle of water at my feet. doesn't look like it's a tight seal. what suggestions do you have? do i need a flange extender and what products do you recommend?
